Amy Ellard-Gray (PhD)

Amy has been a researcher and evaluator for 10 years, working in the academic and private consulting sectors. She has a PhD in Applied Social Psychology with a focus on social justice. She is also a Certified Canadian Inclusion Professional with the Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion.

Amy is dedicated to research, evaluation, and planning work that builds community and contributes to a more sustainable future. She is experienced in a wide range of topic areas and a wide array of methodologies. Amy was motivated to start Grow Insight Consulting to marry her professional skills with her personal passion for food sovereignty and environmental justice. Through Grow Insight, Amy brings her expertise in equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) and research and evaluation to the food, environment, and sustainability sectors.

Amy lives in Guelph, Ontario, which is situated on Between the Lakes (no. 3) Treaty Land. This is the traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation of the Anishinaabek Peoples. Amy lives on this land with her wife and two young children. They are gardeners of food and of native plants, advocates of keeping backyard chickens, DIY specialists, and believers in the power of community.
